B2B SMS
B2B SMS is a relatively new marketing method in the M-commerce field, but with a great potential. The idea is to send instant messages to subscribers or potential customers about new products or promotions directly into their cell phones. For example, you are a game store owner or a pet store owner. A new product is coming in or an order for your customer has arrived, now instead of printing a flyer for advertisement or calling your customers to notify their arrival of product you can send 5, 10 or even thousand messages in a single click telling your customers about the information. Phone bills would be lowered and your customers always informed about the latest information.
Technology has been advancing at a great speed these past few years. The rate of everyone having a cell phone is getting common nowadays.
“In 2004, U.S. cell phone subscribers topped 180 million…”2, compared to 297,000,000 estimated population in the year 2005.3 This comes down to about 60% percent of the US population having a cell phone.
